If you send an approve/reject button to a group in Slack, how do you decide if the actual user who accepts the task has the authority/role to approve or complete it? Do I have to re-authenticate that user when that person clicks the Approve button?

If a task has been delegated to a user, an authorized user can change the task's status and pass any additional variables to support a decision. Refer to https://processmaker.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/PMIOKB/pages/121896961/How+to+work+with+User+task for more information.
